Foundry Manager The Foundry Manager oversees daily foundry operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective production while maintaining quality standards. This role leads production teams, manages scheduling, process improvements, and employee development, and works cross-functionally to achieve operational goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 6 years of foundry manufacturing experience
- Strong leadership and supervisory experience
- Knowledge of foundry operations, production planning, and safety standards
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing Knowledge of quality systems and production reporting
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily foundry operations, including melting, molding, and heat treatment
- Manage production schedules, staffing, and workflow to meet production goals
- Drive process improvements, cost reduction, and productivity initiatives
- Supervise, train, and develop production employees and supervisors
- Partner with Quality, Maintenance, Production, and HR to support operations
- Monitor production performance and implement corrective actions as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards
- Promote a safe workplace and maintain risk assessments and safe work procedures
