Job Title
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Collaborates across departments to ensure welded steel members are staged correctly for processing.
- Utilizes overhead cranes to move parts.
- Occasionally uses forklift to transfer parts.
- Continuous improvement in support of department and company goals
- Supports, participates and encourages team building
- Provides feedback, both positive and negative, to the team, other related departments and the supervisor
- Promotes a positive work environment
- Follow all of Porter Corp's procedures and policies
- Work safely and efficiently
- Stay customer focused
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Education and/or Experience
- This position requires a knowledge of basic material handling methods to ensure a quality product is delivered to all customers
- Work requires high school diploma or equivalent
- TravelThis position requires minimal to no travel
- Computer SkillsBasic computer skills
- Demonstrated proficiency using EPICOR ERP or similar systems
Other Requirements:- Able to read blue prints
- Exceptional interpersonal skillsMust be open-minded to new ideas and concepts
- Possesses very good problem-solving skillsMust be self-motivated and results oriented
- Other SkillsSafe and efficient material handling to minimize damage
- Accuracy and completeness of deliverable materials to customers
