ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Arrive at work station at or before the start of your shiftUnderstand USPS requirements for mail automationParticipate in the testing of programs and systems to ensure proper functionalityLayout variable print projectsVDP Programming for all jobsCreates Client PDF proofsSetup inkjet Templates for Mailing (MCS only) Create PDF production files for Digital and Mailing departmentsCreates Static barcodes as requestedCreate Specialized Packing Slips as neededTesting for new clients and new equipmentCreate and process return PDF'sMaintain processes in Planet press (Update Automated Jobs) Work on various projects as needed for the departmentQC their own work and the work of other VDP specialistsQC Retail Pack-outs for Data ProcessingCreates Special Reports for clients or other departments as neededLog into Slingshot when arriving, log out when going to lunch and leaving for the dayFollow job assignments, review instructions, plan work and responsibilities for the job or project to ensure customer specification complianceFollow and execute the production scheduleComply with company and department SOP's, job description(s), and safety requirementsAll other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSExperience programming with Inspire Designer. Quadient is a mustProficiency in MS Office, with emphasis on MS Excel, is a mustAbility to effectively communicate orally and in written communication to the correct audienceTranslate technology requirements from internal personnel to external customers and vice versaAbility to take initiative and need minimal supervisionAdapt to a fast-paced environmentLearn internal software applications as required by departmentsAbility to collect the necessary information from others to make decisions regarding projects and processesAbility to work with a variety of personalities and skill sets and work well with othersHandle frequent interruptions yet refocus on the task at hand or determine the most important taskTake responsibility for finding alternative approaches to solving or troubleshooting issuesEnsure tasks are completed on timeHigh attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy and qualitySuccessful candidates will have a positive attitude and demonstrate a high willingness to learn and improve their skill setPhysical dexterity:- Ability to sit and use a keyboard and mouse for extended periods (8 hours or more) • Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret specifications and work instructions
