Drafter 2Our organization is seeking a Drafter 2 to support the CAD Modeling and Drafting department. In this role, you will create 2D CAD drawings and 3D CAD models for product, tooling, and testing components and assemblies. This position is located on-site in Elkton, MD.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, lay out, draw, and revise detailed part, assembly, and installation engineering drawings from basic layouts, established references, and standard data.
Utilize computer-aided design equipment, specifically Siemens NX.Complete details of major layout drawings prepared by others in accordance with standard engineering drafting practices.
Determine scaling and insert necessary reference planes, centering lines, dimension lines, hidden line interpolations, and sectioning.
Prepare specifications for parts, assemblies, and installations.
Prepare complete production detail drawings.
Contribute design modifications to improve product quality or facilitate manufacturing operations.
Required Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in CAD Drafting and modeling is required.
Technical Skills:
3D CAD Modeling; Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD); Siemens NX; Siemens Teamcenter.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the application of GD&T.Familiarity with ASME standards.
