Job Description
Summary:
  • The primary requirements of the Strip Mill Operator are to properly blend and process compounds through the mill and batch-off within allowable specifications.

What Success Looks Like:
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Necessity for attention to detail.
  • The ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Capable of maintaining quality control by monitoring production output.
  • Ability to identify any issues with the product or process.
  • Job requires the operator to cut the rubber stock off the mill and to be able to lift it back up to band on the mill
  • Must be able to pull a rubber strip(s) approximately 2 to 20 inches wide, from the mill and feed it onto the take-off belt located approximately three feet away
  • This job is on a two to five-minute cycle
  • Requires the operator to communicate with the additional staff members
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
  • Fill out two-roll safety checklist
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining compound processing procedures
  • Your Credentials:
  • One or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • High School or GED preferred
  • Willing to work overtime including weekends
  • Close visual work required.
  • Knowledge of general computer skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • The hourly rate for this position is $18 per hour, plus $1.00/hour shift premium for 2nd and/or 3rd shift.3rd shift - 10:45pm - 7:00amSunday-Thursday
