San Diego/ remote - Litigation Attorney (contract)

Responsibilities: Manage and support civil litigation defense matters from inception through resolution. Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation documents. Conduct legal research and provide analysis on substantive and procedural issues. Handle written discovery and assist with document review and case strategy. Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and other litigation proceedings, as appropriate. Analyze case files, evidence, discovery, and relevant legal authorities. Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and other parties involved in litigation. Work closely with partners and the litigation team to develop case strategy and meet court and client deadlines. Assist with additional litigation needs based on caseload and business demands.

Hourly rate: $80 to $95 per hour

Contract Duration: 4-6 months Schedule: Full-time, temporary/contract Location: San Diego or Long Beach, California Candidate Requirements Active and in-good-standing membership with the State Bar of California is required. JD from an accredited law school. At least 5+ years of civil litigation experience, ideally with experience in personal injury defense.
