Augusta Commercial Journeyman ElectricianGSA Staffing Professionals is seeking an experienced Commercial Journeyman Electrician for a premier construction and electrical contractor in the Augusta area. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled electrician looking for long-term, stable work on commercial construction and renovation projects.
Position Summary:
The Journeyman Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems on commercial projects while working safely and efficiently in a team environment.
Responsibilities:- Install conduit, cable tray, wire, and electrical devices
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Install and terminate panels, switchgear, transformers, and lighting systems
- Perform troubleshooting, testing, and repairs of electrical systems
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with NEC and project requirements
- Maintain a safe and organized work area
- Collaborate with supervisors, foremen, and project teams
Qualifications:- Journeyman Electrician experience in commercial construction
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and industry standards
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Experience with conduit bending and installation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendanceOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred
Physical Requirements:- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work on ladders throughout the day
- Ability to work in varying job site conditions
