We are seeking Cytopathologiststo diagnose diseases using laboratory techniques from Fine Needle Aspirations and Non-Gynecological specimens.
Responsibilities include:- Microscopic examination of tissue sections, smears, and Thin Prep cytospins
- Identifying etiology, morphological changes, and clinical significance
- Providing diagnostic reports and consulting with physicians
- Participating in proficiency testing, meetings, and continuing education
- Training laboratory personnel, students, and residents
- Taking photomicrographs and consulting on difficult cases
- Testifying as an expert witness if required
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with regulations
Qualifications:
Completion of a four-year residency in pathology, board certification in anatomic pathology and cytopathology, active medical license, and ability to meet physical demands.
Skills include microscopy, specimen analysis, collaboration, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
Key duties involve active involvement in laboratory operations, quality management, and professional development.
