Finishing Line Operator

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Operate heat treat lines assigned, following established procedures and production schedules Meet hourly production rates expected in the heat treat department Inspect manufactured items during production runs, including checking blade hardness, bend tests, and other quality checksRecord inspection data in the SPC (Statistical Process Control) computer system Use measuring and test equipment such as hardness testers, bend testers, and grinders; learn to operate all departmental equipment and maintain it in good condition Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow all safety requirements and written procedures Be open to cross-training in other departments if selected Skills and RequirementsBasic math skills, literacy, and ability to follow work instructions Superior motor skills, ability to read flow charts, and proficiency in using various measuring/test equipment Must become proficient in machinery operation before the end of the training period Punctual, conscientious, and honest while performing tasksBasic math skills, literacy, and ability to follow work instructions
