Volunteer Opportunities Looking for a meaningful way to give back? Join one of FRIENDS' leadership groups and make a lasting impact in the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Volunteers are very important to FRIENDS. Their commitment to our mission and hours of hard work, allow us to preserve our philosophy, to grow our programs and to increase public awareness. Volunteering can be fun and rewarding, no matter how you choose to get involved. Whether it is teaching a class, assisting with evening activities, sharing skills and talents helping with the fundraiser activities, any time spent volunteering is appreciated. Day Program Enrolled participants arrive at the FRIENDS facility anticipating an active day consisting of scheduled recreational, educational or cultural activities. These could included classes such as water aerobics, gymnastics, weight training, arts and dance classes and guided open space tours, to name a few. Some of the activities are modified to accommodate the population's needs and we are out in the fresh air as often as possible. Day Program Schedule 10:00am – 3:00pm with one activity in the morning between 10am – 11:30am and one in the afternoon from 1pm – 2:30pm. Fundraiser EventsHave a love for events?
