Colibri Health is transforming obesity care through comprehensive virtual medicine. The company brings together board-certified physicians, registered dietitians, behavioral support, medically tailored meals, laboratory monitoring, and practical culinary education to help patients achieve clinically significant, sustainable weight loss. Unlike prescription-focused telehealth platforms, Colibri provides a coordinated model designed to address the medical, nutritional, and behavioral factors that influence long-term weight management. The company’s approach includes evidence-based GLP-1 treatment when clinically appropriate, personalized nutrition guidance, ongoing clinical oversight, and structured support for weight maintenance.
About the Role: Colibri Health is seeking an employer-benefits strategy leader to advise the company on bringing comprehensive medical weight management to employers and their workforces. The selected advisor will help Colibri understand how benefits leaders, consultants, and brokers evaluate obesity-care solutions across employee experience, clinical outcomes, access, medication costs, engagement, implementation, and measurable value. This role is well suited to an executive who can help translate Colibri’s integrated care model into a compelling and practical employer offering.
Key Responsibilities: Advise on employer-benefits strategy for medical weight management and metabolic health. Provide insight into employer purchasing criteria, annual planning cycles, benefits governance, and implementation expectations. Help refine Colibri’s employer value proposition, packaging, pricing, and outcomes narrative. Advise on the roles of consultants, brokers, benefit platforms, health plans, pharmacy partners, and point-solution ecosystems. Help identify priority employer segments and effective paths to market. Provide guidance on employee engagement, equitable access, privacy, communications, and retention. Advise on reporting, return‑on-investment considerations, medication stewardship, and program evaluation. Make relevant introductions to benefits leaders, consultants, brokers, and strategic partners when appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications: Ten or more years of leadership in employer health benefits, benefits consulting, brokerage, total rewards, population health, or a related field. Experience evaluating, buying, advising, or implementing healthcare solutions for employers. Strong understanding of benefits strategy, vendor selection, employee engagement, healthcare costs, and program measurement. Knowledge of obesity care, GLP-1 benefits, metabolic health, chronic disease management, or medical weight management is preferred. Experience working with benefits consultants, brokers, health plans, or healthcare vendors. Prior advisory or early-stage healthcare experience is preferred. Strong market judgment, executive communication, and relationship‑building skills. Time Commitment Approximately 1 – 2 hours per month, including virtual advisory meetings, occasional document review, and periodic strategic consultation.
Compensation and Benefits: This is a part-time advisory position. Compensation may include advisory equity based on experience, contribution, and mutual agreement. Advisors also have the opportunity to participate in select company programs and strategic initiatives. A perk/benefit we offer is the ability to make a $25K+ angel investment using an IRA/401(k) or other source alongside other advisors.
