APPLY NOWArea Sales Manager – Technical Fibers | Southeast US (Remote)I'm supporting a leading manufacturer of high-performance technical fibers looking to add an experienced Area Sales Manager covering North America. This is a technical, customer-facing sales role focused on key account management and new business development across the Americas.
The Role:
- Own direct sales (volume, turnover and profitability) for technical fibers across designated key accounts
- Build and manage a sales project pipeline as the foundation for long-term growth
- Identify, develop and commercialize new business opportunities in target markets
- Build long-term relationships with customers and prospects, with around 15 customer visits per month (on-site and virtual)
- Negotiate pricing within established frameworks and resolve customer complaints and technical issues
- Contribute to market strategy, 1-year and 3-year business plans, and weekly forecasting
- Coordinate key account and development activity with sales counterparts in Europe and Asia
- Represent the business at select trade shows, exhibitions and conferences
- Up to 50% travel, primarily across the US, Canada and Mexico
The Ideal Candidate:
- B.Sc. in Chemical, Mechanical or Textile Engineering (or a related field)5+ years of sales, business development or marketing experience
- Background selling textile fibers, ideally with knowledge of spun yarn and/or nonwovens markets
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage customers at a technical level
- Proven ability to manage a project pipeline, forecast accurately and hit volume, revenue and margin targets
- Self-driven and organized, comfortable with regular reporting and a high-travel schedule
