Job Title: Business Development Director – IT Staffing & Services
Location: Des Moines, IA and nearby
About Kellton: Kellton is a global technology company, home to 1,800+ minds across 7 countries, delivering industry-leading capabilities centered around new technologies and transforming enterprises for a digital future. We foster a positive work culture built on respect, gratitude, and integrity.
The Role:
We are seeking an established Business Development Manager to grow our IT Staffing business — our primary focus — with IT Services as a secondary offering. This is primarily a hunting role: you will open new client relationships independently, sell consultatively to senior decision-makers, and lead with staffing while using IT Services to broaden deals. You start with a small portfolio of active accounts and live requirements, and a seasoned recruiting team handles delivery so you can focus on clients and new business. The role is largely offsite and self-directed, with periodic visits to clients in the Des Moines area.
What You’ll Do:
Hunt new logos through outreach, networking, referrals, and consultative selling to senior / C-level buyers — leading with staffing, introducing IT Services where it fits.
Own assigned accounts as the single point of contact: gather requirements, expand into new hiring managers, and revive dormant accounts.
Partner with the recruitment manager and recruiting team to turn requirements into fast, high-quality submittals, and with services leadership to scope IT Services opportunities.
Build and manage a self-sustained pipeline; maintain accurate data in the ATS/CRM and report progress to leadership.
What We’re Looking For:
5+ years in staffing or IT services sales / business development, with a proven record of opening new client accounts, not just farming inherited accounts.
Skilled at consultative selling to senior decisionmakers, and comfortable working offsite and self-directed.
Experience in insurance, financial services, or similar industries is a strong plus.
Bachelor’s degree
Why Join Us:
Competitive base with uncapped commission; active accounts and a recruiting team that fills what you bring in from day one.
Two offerings — staffing and IT services — to sell where most competitors have one.
Room to build and lead a team over time, direct access to leadership, and comprehensive benefits.
Equal Opportunity & Inclusion Statement:
At Kellton, we celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and do not discriminate based on race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, age, disability, or veteran status.
Salary Range: DOE (Base + Commission, with accelerated incentives for new-logo wins)
Benefits: PTO, Health Insurance, 401K
