Regional Human Resources Manager
Location: Southwest suburbs of Chicago- hybrid
Salary $130,000-$150,000 Medical, Dental, VisionWe are seeking an experienced HR leader to oversee people operations across the United States and Canada for an international organization. This role leads a team covering HR operations, payroll, benefits, retirement plans, and recruiting support. The Regional HR Manager will partner with business leaders on workforce planning, employee relations, compliance, and organizational growth.
Responsibilities:
Lead and develop the regional HR team, setting priorities and ensuring consistent support across locations.
Advise leaders on workforce planning, compensation, organizational changes, and complex employee relations matters.
Oversee U.S. and Canadian payroll, benefits, retirement plans, audits, and vendor relationships.
Guide HR compliance, policy development, investigations, and risk management.
Support union and field employee matters, including certified payroll and prevailing-wage requirements.
Improve HR systems, reporting, processes, and internal controls.
Qualifications:
7+ years of progressive HR experience, including 3+ years in HR management or functional leadership.
Experience supporting employees and operations in both the U.S. and Canada.
Strong background in employee relations, payroll oversight, benefits, compliance, and team leadership.
Experience with union workforces and certified payroll or prevailing-wage requirements.
Highly preferred, Construction, engineering, infrastructure, or other field-based industry experience is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
