Grand Home Furnishings is hiring a Store and Dock Attendant to help keep our store dock and showroom running smoothly. What You'll Do:
Our Store and Dock Attendants keep merchandise moving accurately and our store clean and organized. Day to day, you'll:
- Coordinate receiving of merchandise, checking the bill of lading for accuracy and inspecting items for damage
- Unload merchandise into the dock area, tag items with the correct SKU, and complete accurate receiving paperwork
- Place furniture in the store display and rearrange displays as directed by the Display Coordinator or Store management
- Pull items from display per pick/pack lists, wrap and box furniture as needed, and load trucks with care to prevent damage
- Assist with customer pickups, loading items into customer vehicles per their instructions
Maintain a clean parking lot, grounds, and store entrance, and assist with deliveries to customers' homes as neededWhat We're Looking ForWe care about your work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to a clean, well-organized store.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Ability to follow specific instructions and pay close attention to detail required
Good oral and written communication skills required
Ability to lift and carry heavy furniture required
