LocumJobsOnline is working with Rhino Medical to find a qualified Emergency Medicine MD in Kyle, Texas, 76133!Kyle, Texas Emergency Medicine Locum Tenens - Newly Built Freestanding EDRhino Medical is seeking ABEM Emergency Medicine Physicians for a new Freestanding ED opening in Kyle, Texas, beginning in February 2027.This is a startup opportunity at a brand-new freestanding Emergency Department serving the growing Kyle area. Physicians will help support the launch of the site as patient volume develops, with an anticipated initial census of approximately 20–30 patients per day and projected growth toward approximately 50 patients per day. Start Date: February 2027 Brand-new freestanding Emergency Department
Startup coverage need Multiple physician openings available Two 12-hour physician shifts daily Anticipated shift structure: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM and 7:00 PM–7:00 AMProviders must be available for a mix of day and night coverage Expected initial volume: approximately 20–30 patients per day Volume may increase toward approximately 50 patients per day as the site ramps upEmergency Medicine physician coverage Ongoing locum tenens opportunity
Qualifications:
- MD or DOBoard Certified in Emergency Medicine through ABEMActive Texas medical license
- Current ATLS certification
- Recent Emergency Department experience
- Comfortable working both day and night shifts
- Ability to practice effectively in a new-site startup environment
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage a broad range of emergency presentations
- Clinical Environment
This opportunity is ideal for experienced Emergency Medicine physicians who are comfortable working in a new freestanding ED environment and helping establish a strong clinical foundation as the site opens and grows.
Physicians should be prepared to manage the full spectrum of emergency presentations expected in a community-based Emergency Department while adapting to increasing patient volume as the facility develops.
