Operating Room Registered Nurse

Gifted Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and skilled PRN Operating Room RN to join our team in Hammond, Louisiana. As a PRN nurse at Gifted Healthcare, you will have the flexibility to work on an as-needed basis, while still being a crucial part of a team that values expertise and commitment to positive patient outcomes. You will work alongside top professionals in the field and use state-of-the-art equipment to assist in surgeries across a variety of specialties. Prepare operating rooms for surgery, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and sterile. Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments, controlling bleeding, and providing other assistance as needed. Monitor patient status and provide updates to the surgical team. Administer and monitor patient medications and treatments pre and post-surgery. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality at all times. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize workflows and patient care. Participate in post-operative debriefings and quality improvement initiatives. Proficient in aseptic and sterile techniques. Strong ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Ability to anticipate surgeon's needs and react swiftly to emergency situations. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Louisiana. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification preferred.
