Journeyman Automotive Technician:
Ogden Lincoln of Westmont – Westmont, ILOgden Lincoln of Westmont is looking for an experienced Journeyman Automotive Technician to join our Service Department. We are seeking a skilled, dependable technician who takes pride in their work and is comfortable diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining today’s vehicles.
Responsibilities:- Diagnose and repair vehicle mechanical and electrical concerns
- Perform maintenance and repairs according to manufacturer specifications
- Complete engine, transmission, suspension, steering, brake, electrical, and other automotive repairs
- Perform accurate and efficient vehicle inspections
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle concerns
- Clearly document diagnosis, repairs performed, and recommended repairs
- Complete work efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards
- Follow dealership and manufacturer safety procedures
- Work closely with Service Advisors and other members of the Service Department
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:- Previous professional automotive technician experience required
- Journeyman-level diagnostic and repair skills
- Ford or Lincoln dealership experience preferred, NOT REQUIREDFord/Lincoln certifications are a plus
- Strong electrical and diagnostic abilities
- Ability to perform repairs independently
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Must have your own basic automotive tools
- Dependable, professional, and able to work as part of a team
