This on-site contract opportunity is designed for professionals eager to facilitate student success and empower learners in academic and functional skills. Enjoy a consistent Monday-Friday schedule, working 32 hours each week from 7:15 AM to 3:00 PM. You will collaborate closely with an engaging team of educators and therapists while providing direct services to a caseload of approximately 30 students. The focus includes both general education settings with co-taught support as well as self-contained classrooms, providing a rewarding level of variety in each day.
Job Description
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois COTA license required
- Experience or interest in working with middle school students (grades 6-8)
- Understanding of educational settings, with the ability to assist students in both general education co-taught programs and self-contained classrooms
- Compliance with any additional district or state-specific requirements (such as PEL or Para certification, if requested)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services as directed by supervising therapists
- Assist with assessments, interventions, and documentation within the school setting
- Support and empower students to achieve IEP goals
- Partner with teachers and service providers to promote inclusivity and student engagement
