Level 2 Rental Technician - Seasonal Full-Time Day Shift Summary: Good Customer Service Is A Core Component Of This Position. This seasonal position serves as a primary role for inspecting, setting up and the proper return and storage of rental fleet equipment such as boots, helmets, snowboards, skis and poles for riders. You will also be expected to assist riders with filling out the required rental forms as necessary. Employees in this position will be required to evaluate the rider's size and skill level with the information provided to properly set up correct equipment for each individual rider, every single time. Level 2 Technicians will be expected to further assist customers with evaluating and adjusting their personal equipment and assisting Level 1 Technicians as needed. Level 2 Technicians may be selected at the discretion of Chestnut to assist with equipment tuning and various other tasks. You will be required to always maintain a safe and professional-looking work environment.

Requirements/Recommendations:
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have 2 years of experience in the Sl, hard toes and/or waterproofing) are recommended but not required. Proper cold weather gear is essential as you may be expected to work outside to perform various tasks at various times {Employees who do not have the proper cold-weather gear are able to purchase the items they need from the gift shop with an employee discount).
Working Conditions:
Approx. 32 hours weekly with possibility of overtime during some periods of the peak season. Frequently, loud work environment, varying hot and cold temperatures, frequent exposure to melting snow and ice on returned rental equipment and upwards of 100+ customer interactions daily. Must be able to stand for long periods of time, walking while frequently lifting/carrying up to 25lbs of equipment at a time. Employees will be subject to performance reviews every 45 days during peak season. Employees with insufficient reviews may be terminated at the discretion of Chestnut Mountain Resort.
Prirnary-Responsibilities:
- Assist Level 1 Technicians asFamiliarize self and assist customers with personal equipment asSelect, evaluate and issue adequate rental fleet {Boots, Helmets, Snowboards, Skis & Poles)
- Assist with the proper completion of rental forms asAlways maintain a clean, safe and professional-looking work
- The proper return, sanitation, and storage of all fleet equipment (this includes fleet equipment left outside in storage racks).Return all exterior storage racks to their designated
Walk through the building at the start of the shift to pick up and take out all garbage, take ALL Lost and Found items to the Ticket Booth/Front Desk and unlock all doors 30 minutes prior to when the slopes open.
