Position Overview:
Diamond Properties is seeking a Vice President of Property Management to lead the company’s growing team of Property Managers across a commercial real estate portfolio that includes industrial, retail, office, and mixed-use properties. This is a senior leadership role accountable for the performance, people, and operating standards of the Property Management function across the entire portfolio. Property Managers serve as the owner’s representative for their assigned properties, with responsibility for tenant relationships, property condition, budgets, and day-to-day execution. The Vice President will build and lead an effective team, set consistent operating standards, allocate resources across PM portfolios, hold Property Managers accountable for results, and resolve issues that require coordination or decisions beyond an individual PM’s authority. The VP’s primary responsibility is to lead the team and oversee portfolio performance, with direct involvement in individual properties as needed for complex issues. The Vice President of Property Management will provide coaching and establish structure, standards, performance metrics, and clear escalation paths for the PM team. This role will also support the steady growth of Diamond Properties by developing and maintaining written standards, routines, checklists, and expectations so the PM function can scale beyond informal relationships and heroic effort. The VP will work closely with Property Operations, Engineering, Construction, Finance, Accounting, Leasing, and senior leadership so PMs have the training, tools, information, and support needed to manage their properties effectively. The ideal candidate is an experienced commercial property manager and leader who understands tenant service, building operations, budgets, recoveries, capital planning, vendor coordination, and cross-functional execution. The VP should be a strong manager of people, a clear communicator, a practical problem solver, and a disciplined operator who can help a growing company scale without losing responsiveness or accountability. This is an in-office position at our headquarters in Mount Kisco, NY, with regular travel to properties as needed (20% travel expected, primarily to properties in the Southeast and Midwest). The VP of Property Management will report to the Chief Operating Officer and manage a team of six direct reports.
