Akamai Security Engineer (AI/LLM Security) 馃搷 NYC, NY or Atlanta, GA (3 Days Onsite) 馃捈 Long-Term Contract 馃 Interview: In-PersonWe are seeking an experienced Akamai Security Engineer with expertise in enterprise-scale Akamai implementations, web application security, and emerging AI/LLM security technologies.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of hands-on Akamai experience
- Akamai Kona Site Defender
- Akamai Bot Manager
- Akamai API Security
- Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10 Incident Response and Security Operations experience
- Enterprise-scale migration experience
- Financial Services industry experience
Preferred Skills:
- AI/LLM Security
- Akamai Firewall for AIGenAI Security Controls
- Prompt Injection DefenseAI Application Security
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage Akamai security solutions.
Configure and optimize Kona Site Defender, Bot Manager, and API Security.
Lead enterprise-scale Akamai migrations and security initiatives.
Respond to and mitigate security incidents.
Secure AI/LLM-enabled applications using Akamai Firewall for AI and related controls.
Partner with development, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure adherence to security best practices.
Basic Qualifications:
Strong experience with application security and API protection.
Deep knowledge of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
Experience protecting large-scale internet-facing applications.
Excellent troubleshooting and incident response skills.
Financial services domain experience preferred.
