APPLY NOWFund Accounting Manager / Assistant Controller – Private CreditWe are partnering with a leading alternative investment management firm seeking an experienced Fund Accounting Manager / Assistant Controller to join its growing finance team. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee third-party fund administrators and ensure accurate accounting and reporting across investment funds.
Review management fees, incentive fees, waterfall calculations, and partner allocations.
Manage capital calls, distributions, and quarterly investor capital account statements.
Prepare and review quarterly and annual GAAP financial statements.
Lead the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and service providers.
Support new fund launches, fund structures, and accounting process improvements.
Partner with the Liability Management team on liquidity management and borrowing base compliance.
Collaborate with Investor Relations on quarterly performance reporting and investor requests.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred.8–12+ years of accounting experience within financial services.
- Strong background in private credit, private equity, or alternative investment fund accounting preferred.
- Experience overseeing fund administrators, financial reporting, and fund-level accounting.
- Knowledge of management fees, incentive allocations, and distribution waterfalls.
- Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Hands-on mentality with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
