Junior Tester

Eligibility: F-1 OPT / STEM OPT candidates welcome We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior QA Tester to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will work closely with developers and product managers to execute test cases, identify bugs, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. This entry-level position is ideal for recent Computer Science, IT, or STEM graduates currently on F-1 OPT or STEM OPT who are looking to kickstart their career in software quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Execution: Execute manual test plans, test suites, and regression tests across web and mobile applications.
Defect Reporting: Identify, document, and track software defects and bugs using tracking tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
Collaboration: Partner with software developers and product managers to understand feature requirements and clarify expected behaviors.
Test Documentation: Assist in creating, updating, and maintaining test cases, test data, and user documentation.
Quality Improvement: Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings to advocate for continuous quality improvements.
Qualifications & Requirements
Work Authorization:
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. F-1 OPT or STEM OPT status welcome. QA Fundamentals: Basic understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla, Trello).Programming Knowledge (Plus): Basic exposure to Python, Java, JavaScript, or SQL is a strong plus. Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, and excellent verbal/written communication skills.
