Job description: We are seeking a full-time or part-time Upholstery & Drapery Seamstress to join our upholstery and drapery workroom in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The ideal candidate is motivated, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to follow instructions. Responsibilities include sewing and fabricating upholstery and drapery products using industrial sewing machines. Training in our specific production methods will be provided.

Responsibilities:

Sew upholstery cushions, pillows, draperies, and other fabric products
Operate industrial sewing machines safely and accurately
Measure, cut, assemble, and fabricate materials according to instructions
Maintain consistent workmanship and attention to detail
Keep the sewing and work areas organized
Work cooperatively with other workroom employees
Complete assignments within established production schedules

Qualifications:

At least one year of sewing experience is required
Upholstery, drapery, or patternmaking experience is preferred
Experience operating industrial sewing machines is a plus
Must be punctual, dependable, organized, and detail-oriented
Must be able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Willingness to learn new sewing and fabrication techniques
ScheduleMonday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Full-time or part-time schedules may be available.

Compensation: Hourly pay is based on experience and demonstrated skill level. Performance-based bonus opportunities may be available.
