Mt Tabor Christian Church seeks a part-time worship leader to lead and mentor musicians, vocalists, the tech team, and all other creative arts volunteers. The Worship Leader will provide leadership, vision, and passion for MTCC's worship ministries in line with MTCC's overall vision, purpose, and mission. This currently includes the planning, leading, and oversight of our two Sunday worship services and guiding our youth worship services; it may also include the future addition of new services or special services.
Responsibilities: Work with the Lead Pastor and worship team to plan the worship services.
Develop, build, nurture, and guard the worship culture at MTCC.
Lead or coordinate the musical and creative portions of services.
Identify, recruit, and onboard worship volunteers.
Disciple, manage, and care for the volunteers on the worship team.
Lead & develop the student worship team (Rooted) with the goal of raising up the next generation of worship leaders and musicians
Develop an annual budget for the worship and technology ministries and work within those budgets with financial responsibility.
Oversee the church's tech ministry.
Attend church staff meetings and retreats as possible.
Oversee the maintenance of all musical instruments and technology owned by the church.
Requirements: A committed follower of Jesus with a heart for worship.
Demonstrate evidence of spiritual maturity and continued growth.
Committed to continued learning, formally or informally.
Willingness to continue improving, with an understanding of both strengths and weaknesses.
Willing to have fun and not take themselves too seriously
Willing to work hard to accomplish the urgent task of fulfilling our vision.
