About Starform: Starform is a start-up game studio on a mission to create games that players love forever. We believe a focused team of exceptional people can outbuild a much larger one. Our current game, Metalstorm, is a fast-paced, 5v5 F2P multiplayer air combat game with a growing global community. We're building a game with the depth to keep players engaged for years, and we're looking for people who are excited to help it reach its next level of growth. You'll make the video ads that put Metalstorm in front of millions of new players, using the newest generative video, image, and audio tools to ship more winning creative, faster than a traditional edit suite ever could.

About the Role: We're looking for a creative, curious, and highly experimental Performance Marketing AI Content Strategist to help drive player acquisition for Metalstorm. This isn't a traditional video editing role. You'll own the process of identifying promising creative opportunities, developing concepts, storyboarding ideas, and bringing them to life using AI tools, gameplay capture, and innovative content creation workflows. You'll constantly explore new formats, creative approaches, and production techniques to increase the volume of viable concepts we can test. We want someone who is innately curious about the internet, gaming audiences, emerging technology, and why content works. You understand why people love games, and can translate connection, fun, and emotion into actionable concepts. You're someone who won't wait for a brief to pursue an idea, defaults to experimentation over assumptions, and sees AI as an opportunity to fundamentally change how creative gets made. You'll combine creative intuition with a scientific approach to testing, using performance data to understand what resonates, develop better ideas, and continuously improve our advertising creative.

Ideate, Develop, Experiment, Measure, and Iterate: Independently generate compelling advertising concepts based on an understanding of gaming audiences, internet culture, platform trends, and what makes Metalstorm fun to play. Develop a strong point of view on what we should make, why it might work, and how we can test it. Work closely with Performance Marketing to develop creative hypotheses, prioritize concepts, and build structured testing plans. Use performance data, including CTR, CPI, conversion, and ROAS, to understand what is working, what isn't, and meaningful insights from noise, all to inform future creative decisions. Generate meaningful creative variations across hooks, storytelling, gameplay, formats, and other elements with the intent of positively influencing performance. Optimize for both the volume of credible creative opportunities tested and the performance of the resulting assets. Improve the Creative SystemStay ahead of emerging trends in gaming advertising, internet culture, platform behavior, and AI-enabled content creation. Proactively identify opportunities to improve creative strategy, production speed, testing velocity, and asset quality. Document successful workflows, creative learnings, and repeatable patterns so the broader team can build on them. Partner with other internal and external content producers, providing clear briefs, useful feedback, and creative direction when needed. Communicate progress, surface blockers early, and take ownership of delivering results in a fast-moving environment.

What We're Looking For: AI fluency and curiosity. You already actively experiment with AI-powered creative tools and are excited to discover new ways of working. You don't need to know every tool; you need to be eager to explore, learn, and build effective workflows. Executional capability. You can independently turn ideas into clear and usable hooks, storyboards, sequences, and finished creative assets. Experience with video editing, motion graphics, gameplay capture, and generative media tools is valuable, but raw editing speed alone isn't what will make you successful here. Exceptional creative instincts. You can identify compelling content opportunities, develop original ideas, and explain why they might resonate with a specific audience. Native online sensibility. You understand internet culture, gaming communities, platform-specific conventions, emerging trends, and the difference between content that feels authentic and content that feels like an ad. Performance orientation. You understand that creative must serve a business objective, and you're interested in how content influences acquisition metrics and player growth. A gamer at heart. You love games! You understand what makes games compelling and can translate that excitement into creative that makes people want to play Metalstorm. An experimental mindset. You naturally generate hypotheses, test ideas, learn from results, and use evidence to improve your next attempt. You're curious about where changes have impact, and nothing is too precious to investigate. Ownership and initiative. You identify opportunities, develop your own ideas, and move them forward without waiting for someone else to tell you what to make. Adaptability and pace. You are comfortable with ambiguity, can juggle multiple experiments, and respond productively when an idea fails or priorities change. Collaborative communication. You can articulate your thinking, accept feedback, share learnings, and work closely with marketing and creative teammates to improve the outcome.

What Success Looks Like: AI-enabled workflows that meaningfully increase creative speed, variety, and output. A steady pipeline of high-potential concepts grounded in audience insights, platform behavior, and game knowledge. Consistent delivery of polished, platform-ready creative across target ad networks. More credible creative experiments reaching testing, with less time lost to production bottlenecks. A disciplined cycle of testing and learning that improves advertising performance and builds the team's understanding of what resonates with potential Metalstorm players. Why Join Starform? At Starform, you'll have the opportunity to shape how a growing game reaches new players. You'll have room to explore new creative approaches, experiment with emerging AI capabilities, and influence the systems and strategies behind our advertising—not simply execute briefs handed to you. We're a small team that values initiative, curiosity, high standards, and people who are motivated to make a meaningful impact. If you're excited by the intersection of gaming, internet culture, creative experimentation, and AI-enabled production, we'd love to hear from you.
