We are partnering with a growing organization in the construction and distribution industry that is seeking a hands-on Assistant Controller to join its accounting leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounting Manager or Assistant Controller who enjoys being involved in day-to-day accounting operations while also contributing to process improvements and financial reporting. Support the Controller with daily accounting operations, including GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, and financial reporting. (Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements. Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies. Support inventory accounting, cost analysis, and financial variance reporting. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls. Support ERP enhancements and accounting automation initiatives. Provide leadership, guidance, and development to accounting team members. Assist with special projects and initiatives as the organization continues to grow. Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. ~Strong general ledger, financial reporting, and month-end close experience. ~ Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems. ~ Comfortable working in a hands-on accounting leadership role. ~ CPA and Microsoft Dynamics GP experience are a plus, but not required. ~ Approximately 10% annual bonus opportunity. ~ Medical, dental, and vision insurance with 80% of premiums paid by the employer. xaygatp ~Local candidates strongly preferred.
