Home Care Agency Caregiver As the first ACHC-accredited home care agency in Columbus, Ohio, we are proud to serve our community with strong morals, strong values, and exceptional care. At our family-owned and operated agency, our "We Care" values guide everything we do: Wellness, Excellence, Compassion, Advocacy, Respect, and Empathy. If these values sound like they describe you, keep reading! We know caregiver burnout is real. That is why we believe caring for caregivers is just as important as caring for clients. When you join our team, you are never just a caregiver. You are a listening ear, a trusted friend, an advocate for our clients, and an extra set of eyes and ears for our nurses. You are supported every step of the way with RN clinical oversight and after-hours support for urgent needs, so you are never alone in the field. We are proud of the care we provide, and our Google reviews reflect that dedication, especially from the veterans and families we serve. We also understand the importance of consistent, predictable scheduling. That means set schedules based on the hours you want each week, with the same days, times, and clients whenever possible. Extra hours may be available, but they are never mandatory.
Job duties include: (depending on your skill level and assigned client) medication reminders, light housekeeping, meal prep, bed baths, shower assistance, toileting, safe transferring, Hoyer lift support, catheter care, ostomy care, accurate documentation, reporting changes to nurses, transportation to appointments or errands, and meaningful socialization to support mental and emotional well-being. We use skills-based matching to ensure caregivers are placed with clients they are prepared to support. Requirements include the ability to pass a background check with no disqualifying code, a clean drug test, a valid driver's license, a social security card and work visa if applicable, proof of car insurance, reliable, clean transportation, attention to detail and dependability, ability to navigate situations involving dementia and Alzheimer's disease with compassion, patience, creativity, and a person-centered approach. Six months of verifiable caregiving experience is preferred, if experience is not professional, personal references may be considered, ability to work in clients' homes and facility settings, and rotating weekends required for part-time and full-time positions. Weekend warriors are welcome.
