Position: Middle School ELA Teacher
Location: Manhattan
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:15 AM–4:00 PM
Salary:
$70,000–$95,000 (commensurate with experience) Sign‑On Bonus: $8,000 Requirements
- NYS teaching certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years teaching experience preferred
- Strong content knowledge in ELA
- Ability to deliver engaging, standards‑aligned instruction
- Must clear all required background checks
Responsibilities:
- Teach daily middle school ELA lessons aligned to standards
- Create engaging, rigorous instruction that supports literacy and critical thinking
- Maintain strong classroom management and a positive learning environment
- Collaborate with colleagues on planning and interventions
- Communicate consistently with families about student progress
- Support a respectful, academically focused classroom culture
