Peer Tutors in the Academic Resource Center provide course-specific academic support to fellow undergraduate students. Tutors work collaboratively with peers to clarify complex course material, reinforce foundational concepts, and promote independent learning strategies.
Accepts: Federal Work Study (FWS) & Eastern Campus Employment (ECE)
Responsibilities:
Facilitate one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions for designated courses.
Assist students in developing effective study habits, note-taking strategies, and test-preparation skills.
Maintain accurate logs of tutoring sessions and attend mandatory training or staff meetings.
Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and encouraging environment that respects diverse learning styles and maintains student confidentiality.
