We're partnering with an established commercial general contractor in the Indianapolis market that's looking to add a strong Project Manager to its team for an approximately $50 million athletic facility project. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving challenges, leading teams, and seeing a complex commercial project come together from planning through completion. We're not necessarily looking for someone with the biggest title. We're looking for someone who knows how to lead.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Take an active leadership role in the successful execution of a major commercial construction project. Manage key aspects of project delivery, including budgets, schedules, subcontractor coordination, and overall project performance. Partner closely with senior project leadership and field operations to keep the project moving forward. Build strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders. Anticipate challenges, solve problems proactively, and maintain accountability throughout the project lifecycle. Support project documentation, financial reporting, change management, and quality expectations. Help establish an environment where communication, teamwork, and execution are priorities.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Proven experience as a Project Manager with a commercial general contractor or construction manager. Strong background in ground-up commercial construction, preferably involving K-12, higher education, municipal, healthcare, life sciences, or other complex institutional projects. Demonstrated experience managing sizable construction projects, ideally in the $25M–$75M+ range. Ability to take real ownership of project delivery rather than simply supporting another PM.Strong understanding of construction budgets, schedules, contracts, subcontractor management, and project coordination. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Someone who takes pride in building strong teams, maintaining relationships, and delivering quality work.
