Fully Remote • Springfield, ILDescriptionAt CSpring, we believe in the power of people and data to drive real-world impact. We're a purpose-driven consulting firm that helps organizations solve complex problems, gain insights, and achieve measurable results. Our clients span the public and private sectors, and our work — from data strategy and engineering to workforce transformation — improves lives across Indiana and beyond. We're seeking talented professionals who are collaborative, curious, and committed to making a difference.
Why You'll Love Working Here:
Work that carries real weight. You'll be validating data pipelines that support a state Medicaid system — your attention to detail has a direct downstream effect on how healthcare information reaches the people who need it. A team that takes quality seriously. CSpring has a culture of rigor and care. We don't ship sloppy work, and we hire people who feel the same way — you'll be surrounded by colleagues who hold the same standard. Room to grow your craft. You'll work across a modern, meaningful stack — Informatica PowerCenter, Teradata, Azure DevOps, and Python automation — with the latitude to improve and automate the processes you own. Collaboration without silos. Our teams work in tight Agile cycles with real communication between QA engineers, ETL developers, and business stakeholders. Purpose-driven clients. Our government and healthcare clients are doing work that matters to their communities. When you support their data infrastructure, you're part of that mission too.
What You'll Do:
You'll own the quality of data as it moves through ETL pipelines in a state Medicaid environment — from reviewing requirements all the way through defect resolution, regression testing, and automation.
Review Change Requests (CRs) and participate in requirement analysis for new EDW extracts and transformations.
Participate in data modeling and requirement gathering sessions to ensure testing stays aligned with business needs.
Perform backend testing to compare data in source systems to target Medicaid Enterprise Data Warehouses (EDW); verify source-to-target data mapping and transformation logic for Medicaid datasets.
Validate data quality, standardization rules, and loading accuracy across full-load and incremental-load cycles.
Write complex SQL queries — multi-table JOINs, aggregations, row counts, null checks, duplicate checks, and referential integrity validation — to validate ETL outputs against business rules.
Design test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for ETL processes; execute both manual and automated tests.
Identify, document, and track discrepancies using JIRA, HP ALM, or Azure DevOps Test Plans; collaborate with ETL developers to resolve defects and perform regression testing.
Develop automated database validation scripts using Python, SQLAlchemy, and Pandas; create shell scripts for ETL monitoring and log analysis.
Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
Document test results and provide detailed, actionable feedback to stakeholders.
