Job Description: Licensed Optician – Part‑Time.
Overview:
Lens Crafters, part of Essilor Luxottica, delivers state‑of‑the‑art vision care with a personal approach. Major Duties & Responsibilities Welcome customers and set expectations. Custom‑fit glasses, place prescriptions precisely in lenses. Lead with optical acumen; maintain high product knowledge. Take, record measurements and adjust eyewear with attention to detail. Assist the team with complex product needs and prescriptions. Use technology efficiently under time pressure, ensuring accuracy. Proactively solve issues, exceed customer expectations, and drive Brand KPIs. Multi‑task, prioritize, and manage time with competing priorities. Maintain store appearance, cleanliness and organization. Report safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices. Be resourceful and self‑motivated, with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions and inventory management.
Basic Qualifications:
High School graduate or equivalent.
State licensure.
Optical dispensing experience.
Strong customer service skills: communication, listening and team building.
Knowledge of current store merchandise.
Strong basic math skills.
Awareness of current fashion trends.
Ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet.
Familiarity with POS, computers and calculators.
Openness to new technology and change.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous customer‑service and retail experience.
