NOT LIMITED TO CONWAY - PREFERABLY WITHIN 50 MILESPaid hourly 1099 + travel compensationmust have a truck or work vehicle willing to use for work as a 1099 subcontractor We are seeking a versatile and skilled Mobile Home Service & Repair Technician to handle warranty and punch-list repairs for brand-new manufactured homes across South Carolina and North Carolina. This role requires frequent regional travel, offering dynamic work environments with competitive travel compensation and fully covered lodging. If you are a resourceful craftsman with hands-on experience in light construction and home repairs, this position offers steady work with no major roof or HVAC overhauls required.
Key Responsibilities:
Interior Repairs: Perform drywall repair, stud replacement, wall reconfigurations, trim work, and vinyl flooring repair or installation.
Exterior Maintenance: Install and repair mobile home skirting, siding, and general exterior components.
Structural Adjustments: Diagnose and correct raised or sagging floor joists to ensure structural stability.
Basic Mechanicals: Execute light electrical and plumbing troubleshooting and repairs.
Travel & Site Visits: Travel to job sites throughout NC and SC as assigned; manage work schedules to ensure timely project completion.
Position Requirements & Details
Experience:
Proven experience in several of the trades listed above (complete mastery of everytrade is not required, but a strong general mechanical aptitude is essential).Excluded Scope: Work excludes major appliance repair, full roof replacements, and complex HVAC services.
Employment Type:
Independent Contractor (1099).Travel & Lodging: Travel time/distance is compensated, and hotel accommodations are completely covered. Site Condition: All service calls are performed on brand-new manufactured homes.
