Responsibilities:
Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs, contractions, and labor progress, assessing any complications and providing appropriate interventions during labor and delivery. Support women through the stages of labor, assist in birthing procedures, and collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and anesthesiologists to manage deliveries, including assisting with vaginal births or cesarean sections. Administer pain relief options, such as epidurals, IV medications, or other comfort measures, and assist with pain management during labor and delivery. Provide care to both mother and newborn immediately following delivery, including assessing recovery, promoting bonding, providing breastfeeding support, and educating parents about newborn care and recovery.
Qualifications:
CA Registered Nurse license Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and/or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications 1-2 years of experience in L&D or obstetric care
