American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 2+ years of cardiac cath lab experience and RCIS, RCES, or ARRT CV certification for a diagnostic cardiac catheterization lab. Details Diagnostic cardiac cath lab with 3 rooms and 5 beds Adult to geriatric patient population Average daily census of 8-10 Diagnoses include diagnostic cath, PCI, orbital atherectomy, IABP, Impella, and device implants (no EP studies or ablations) Uses GE Discovery, IABP, Impella, and CSI equipment Epic required for charting; Pyxis, SBAR, and Merge experience preferred4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PMWorks every other weekend unless otherwise specified May float within the department and facility, including to sister campus Piedmont Eastside SouthCall requirements of 12-15 days per month plus 2 weekends (Sat/Sun), with late stay as needed
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience scrubbing heart caths and devicesBLS and ACLS certification requiredRCIS, RCES, or ARRT CV certification required
  • Pacemaker experience preferredEKG setting experience required, including obtaining vitals, rhythm interpretation, and sinus node rhythm identification
  • Experience with GE Discovery, IABP, Impella, and CSI required
  • Epic charting experience required
  • License required if applicable
  • Prior travel experience required
Additional Information:
  • Responsibilities include accurate monitoring, EKG lead placement, room circulation, and maintaining sterile field when scrubbing
  • Scrubs provided by the facility
  • Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
  • Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period
  • Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, and Christmas/New Year's Eve and DayLocal candidates accepted at the same bill rate
  • First-time travelers not accepted for this position
  • Permanent, PRN, or internal staff must be away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before returning as a traveler
  • Travelers who were cancelled or deemed unable to return to a Piedmont facility must complete one assignment outside Piedmont before reapplying
