Job Description:
The cardiologist (PRN) is a dynamic and flexible individual who is licensed/board certified with experience in noninvasive cardiology and adult echocardiography. This professional will play a key role in providing accurate and high-quality interpretation of echocardiograms.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Provides excellent cardiovascular care in a remote setting
Perform accurate interpretation of echocardiograms and/or screening AAA studies
Participates in quality improvement sessions for echocardiography (quarterly)
Communicates results of echocardiograms if needed with primary care providers in a timely manner
Required Skills/Abilities:
Exceptional communication skills to facilitate patient care including ability to foster and cultivate relationships with primary care physicians, center care team members, and staff
Extensive knowledge of cardiovascular disease and evidence-based practices and procedures
Well-versed in echocardiography guidelines, standards and practices as dictated by the American Society of Echocardiography
Personable, tactful, and professional demeanor
Comfortable with electronic medical record charting as well as teleconferencing including telehealth patient encounters
Education and Experience:
MD/DO/MBBS in Internal Medicine/Cardiology
Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease
Board Certified in Adult Echocardiography
Current, unrestricted, active license to practice medicine in Wisconsin
Current DEA registration
Proficient PC skills
