Diesel Fleet Mechanic – Waste Management

Interstate Waste Services is seeking a skilled Mechanic B to maintain and repair our fleet of waste management vehicles. This position requires a strong understanding of diesel engines and hydraulic systems. Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on waste collection trucks Diagnose mechanical issues and provide timely solutions Maintain logs of vehicle service and repairs Comply with safety and environmental regulations Operate diagnostic equipment to ensure proper vehicle function Assist in inventory management of parts and supplies Collaborate with other team members to optimize maintenance procedures Proficiency in diesel engine mechanics Experience with hydraulic systems Ability to read and interpret technical documents and manuals Strong problem-solving skills Effective communication skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k ASE Certification in Heavy Truck Mechanics preferred Valid driver’s license
