Construction Estimator

Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed cost estimates, quantity takeoffs, and bid proposals for upcoming construction projects. Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents to determine scope, quantities, and overall project costs. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing to ensure competitive, accurate bids. Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders throughout the preconstruction process. Identify potential cost savings, scope gaps, and project risks during the estimating process. Support bid preparation, budgeting, and project handoff to the operations team.

Qualifications: Previous estimating experience in civil construction, underground utilities, sitework, or ground-up commercial construction. Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents. Strong understanding of construction costs, labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing. Proficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, and digital takeoff tools. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
