Position Highlights:
- Title: Global Manager, Testing & Validation· Full-Time Direct Hire Background Requirements· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field· Typically 10+ years of automotive testing, validation, or quality assurance experience, including automotive testing and release processes, OEM requirements, and international standards· Proven experience leading globally distributed, multicultural teams· Strong knowledge of product verification throughout the development lifecycle, from early development through production release· Experience with test management tools, data analysis, and global process standardization· Excellent strategic decision-making, communication, and stakeholder management skills; business-fluent English required· Experience working with external test laboratories and regulatory authorities is a plus
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate testing and validation teams across Europe, the Americas, and Asia· Develop and implement global testing strategies, methods, and standards to ensure consistent, reproducible results worldwide· Oversee component, system, and vehicle testing, including functionality, performance, durability, environmental, climate, vibration, shock, reliability, and robustness testing· Ensure compliance with automotive OEM requirements, international standards, and applicable regulations· Approve test plans, validation reports, and documentation required for production release· Optimize global testing processes, laboratory infrastructure, equipment utilization, and external testing partnerships· Manage global testing budgets and support make-or-buy decisions· Present testing results and recommendations to management and customers· Introduce innovative testing approaches, including virtual testing and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SiL) methods· Drive digitalization, standardization of test documentation, and development of a global testing roadmap What is Being Offered· Challenge: Lead global testing and validation strategy, standardize processes across international teams, and influence product quality from early development through production release· Location: Muskegon, Michigan· Advancement: Opportunity to shape global engineering practices, influence strategic decisions, and collaborate with senior engineering leadership and automotive customers· Money: Competitive compensation package based on experience· Competitive Salary· Relocation assistance available· Comprehensive health care benefits· Paid Vacation· 401K with Matching· People / Culture: Collaborative, cross-functional engineering environment with international teams across multiple regions· Stability: Established automotive technology business supporting global product development and manufacturing operations If you are interested and qualified, please send your updated resume as an MS Word document, along with an explanation of how your experience fits this specific position, to jim.guerrera@SCNteam.com.Thank you for your consideration!
