Job Description Job Description Position Overview: As a Snow Removal Technician, you will be responsible for clearing snow from residential and commercial properties, including driveways, walkways, parking lots, and sidewalks. This is a physically demanding role, requiring early morning and potentially late-night shifts during snowstorms. This position is seasonal, with the option to transition to a full-time role in the spring based on performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate snow removal equipment, such as snow blowers, plows, and shovels.
Shovel snow from walkways, driveways, and other areas as needed.
Clear parking lots, sidewalks, and access points to ensure safety and accessibility.
Apply ice melt/salt as needed to prevent ice buildup.
Maintain equipment and report any issues or necessary repairs.
Ensure quality service and attention to detail in all tasks.
Be available for early morning, evening, and potentially overnight shifts during snowstorms. (THIS IS AN ON CALL POSITION AND CAN NOT GUARENTEE HOURS)
Requirements:
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including snow, cold temperatures, and wind.
Ability to work independently without guidance.
Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting, shoveling, and operating equipment.
Previous experience with snow removal is a plus, but not required.
Strong work ethic and reliability.
Accountability and punctuality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Flexibility in scheduling, including availability on weekends and holidays during peak snow events.
Positive attitude and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
