Beach Attendant

Essential Job Functions: Ensure security of beach, pool and health club access, as well as guest and hotel property. Be conscious of guests' whereabouts and activities at all times, especially children. Instruct and enforce hotel policies regarding towels, chairs, umbrellas, and pool usage. Prepare beach, pools, spas, and health clubs for guest use. Provide basic first aid to any guest when needed. Request additional help if needed. Service, clean, and rotate through all assigned areas. Collect trash and debris, wipe down chairs, railings and equipment. Handle pool chemicals and reagents in accordance with OSHA regulations and hotel requirements. Partake in water safety training session. Properly handle and report any employee or guest accidents and incidents. Sweep beach sand from walkways, stairwell and pool deck. Clean beach: sanitize trash bins. Organize and maintain all outdoor and rescue equipment. Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM's EarthView program. Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards. Perform other duties as requested by management.

Position Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous related experience preferred. Work Environment and Context: Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays and weekends. Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
