JWC Steel Co., a leading structural and miscellaneous metals contractor, is seeking a Commercial Estimator to join our sales and client relations team. This full-time position is based in Connecticut and offers a hybrid work model for a self-motivated, results-driven professional with extensive experience in takeoffs and bid development for commercial and industrial steel projects. is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in helping us secure high-impact projects through precise and competitive estimating.

Learn more about our work at www.jwcsteel.com.Key Responsibilities Review bid invitations from general contractors and identify project scope Perform material and labor take-offs from structural and architectural drawings Develop and submit bid proposals accurately and on time Track and prepare change orders as needed throughout the project lifecycle Maintain close communication with general contractors and internal departments Support continuous improvement of estimating processes and systems Participate in pre-bid meetings when required
Qualifications:- 5+ years of experience in steel estimating and takeoffs (structural and miscellaneous metals)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines consistently
- Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural and structural plans
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be dependable, resourceful, and highly motivated
