Parts & Service Counterperson

This hybrid role supports both the service and parts departments, ensuring customers receive accurate information, timely updates, and exceptional service throughout their repair or parts purchase experience. Responsibilities: Customer Service & Repair IntakeGreet customers and identify vehicle performance concerns. Translate customer issues into clear, detailed repair orders. Verify warranty and service contract coverage. Provide timely updates on repair status, recommendations, and timelines. Parts Sales & Inventory SupportManage the parts sales process from inquiry to delivery. Assist customers and technicians in identifying correct parts. Work with the Parts Manager to locate out-of-stock parts. Process and track special-order parts and communicate status updates. Documentation & EstimatesPrepare accurate repair and parts estimates using labor guides and pricing tools. Maintain customer records, service history, and warranty documentation. Ensure all repair orders and parts invoices are complete and accurate. Team CommunicationServe as the liaison between customers and technicians. Communicate clearly and professionally with staff and customers. Support a positive, collaborative dealership environment. Safety & ComplianceFollow all company safety policies and procedures. Adhere to federal, state, and local regulations related to automotive service and parts.

Requirements: Minimum 1 year experience in an automotive service department. Auto parts sales experience preferred; Ford dealership experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of automobiles, components, and repair procedures. Ability to identify parts and service needs quickly and accurately. Effective communication, reading, math, and computer skills. Ability to learn new technology, catalog systems, and service procedures. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Positive, friendly attitude with a professional appearance. High school diploma or equivalent.
