ABOUT BIM SYNERGISTICSBIM Synergistics is a digital construction company specializing in BIM Coordination Leadership and MEP Construction detailing for commercial construction projects across the United States. Our projects include large-scale data centers, hospitals, and other complex commercial projects where quality coordination and project leadership drive the project outcomes. We value people over processes. We invest in careers, not just positions. We are building a team of people who take ownership, communicate clearly, and serve others well.
THE ROLE:
We are hiring a VDC Project Manager who can lead complex BIM coordination projects from start to finish. This is not an entry-level BIM role, and it is not a detailing/modeling production role. The right person is already experienced in leading coordination, but still hungry to grow, take ownership, and build a long-term career with a strong team. This is a client-facing coordination leadership role. You will drive the coordination process across multiple active projects — data centers, hospitals, and large commercial facilities. You will lead meetings, manage clashes and issue resolution, track RFIs and decisions, protect schedules, communicate with clients, and keep project teams moving at the highest standard. You will partner with our detailing and modeling teams, but your main responsibility is to lead the coordination process. Most importantly, we are looking for someone with the ambition and capability to grow — who can eventually own the VDC strategy, protect project margins, and represent BIM Synergistics at the highest level with clients. OUR CORE VALUESAs technical skills matter, values alignment matters more. We expect every team member to live these values daily. If these resonate with you, keep reading. If not, this is not your role.- Do The Right Thing: Take extreme ownership. Go the extra mile. Be disciplined.- Be A Servant Leader: Take initiative. Exemplify truth. Stay humble.- Always Be Learning: Have a growth mindset. Pursue excellence. Fail forward.- Build Positive Relationships: Put others first. Be encouraging. Communicate effectively. WHAT YOU WILL OWN- Lead the full VDC/BIM coordination process across multiple active projects from kickoff through closeout.- Serve as the consultant-level BIM lead and primary point of contact for clients on your projects.- Run BIM coordination meetings with GC teams, trade partners, design consultants, and internal team members.- Manage clash detection, issue tracking, coordination reports, model review workflows, and action-item follow-through.- Drive resolution of coordination conflicts across MEP, architectural, structural, and trade scopes.- Manage RFIs, decision logs, meeting notes, and documentation through Autodesk Construction Cloud, Procore, or similar platforms.- Build and maintain coordination schedules and milestones using Microsoft Project or similar tools.- Review Revit models, Navisworks clash reports, drawings, and specifications to identify conflicts, scope gaps, and schedule risks.- Communicate project status, risks, blockers, and next steps clearly to clients and internal leadership.- Escalate issues before they become emergencies, while owning the path to resolution.- Perform quality control reviews on coordination deliverables before client submission.- Improve coordination workflows, templates, and standards so each project runs better than the last. YOU ARE A STRONG FIT IF- You have already led BIM coordination as the person responsible for keeping the process moving.- You can take charge of a project without waiting to be told every next step.- You are comfortable leading client-facing meetings and holding trades accountable, professionally and respectfully.- You understand MEP coordination well enough to challenge models, spot gaps, and drive constructible solutions.- You can manage multiple projects, deadlines, and issue logs without letting details fall through the cracks.- You are calm under pressure, direct in communication, and serious about finishing strong.- You want growth, responsibility, and a team culture built on ownership, humility, service, and continuous improvement. YOU ARE NOT A FIT IF- You have only participated in coordination meetings and have not personally led the process.- You need heavy oversight to manage priorities, communication, or follow-through.- You are primarily looking for a Revit detailing/modeling production role.- You avoid difficult conversations with clients, GCs, trade partners, or team members.- You struggle to manage more than one active project at a time.- You care more about appearing busy than producing momentum and clear outcomes.
