Job DescriptionJSG is looking to hire a Shipping Associate/Packer to work in Monrovia, CA
Pay range: $23 - $25 per hour
Summary:
Primary duties are to pack or crate products as required in preparations for shipment to both domestic and international destinations.
Essential Duties:
Crate large standard products and systems per instructions from prefabricated crates and materials.
Package smaller products using prefabricated corrugated boxes and foam per instructions.
Stocking packaging material deliveries as required.
Required Skillset:
Ability and knowledge to use power tools such as miter saw, table saw, nail guns, staple guns, trim saw, reciprocating saw, and drills.
Ability and knowledge to use standard hand tools.
Ability to accurately measure dimensions using a tape measure and level. Ability to neatly package products and in a way to maximize the protection of the product. Quality, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills are a must.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Experience working in a shipping department is preferable. Experience with wood fabrication including measuring and cutting (framing, carpentry, or similar) is necessary. ENGLISH LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read, analyze, and interpret written procedures is required Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is preferred.
