This is an environment where advanced assessment skills, continuous monitoring, rapid clinical decision-making, and the ability to recognize subtle changes in patient condition are essential. This is not an entry-level critical care opportunity. We are looking for RNs with current or recent ICU, MICU, CICU, or comparable high-acuity critical care experience who are prepared to contribute in an intensive-care environment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO: As a MICU/CICU RN, you will:
Assess, plan, implement, and continuously evaluate care for critically ill and medically complex patients Closely monitor patients and rapidly recognize significant changes in clinical condition Care for patients requiring advanced cardiac, respiratory, and hemodynamic monitoring Provide nursing care for mechanically ventilated patients and collaborate with respiratory therapy and the interdisciplinary team Administer and monitor critical medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols Respond effectively to clinical deterioration, emergencies, and resuscitative situations Coordinate care with intensivists, physicians, respiratory therapists, and other members of the multidisciplinary team Provide clear, compassionate communication and education to patients and families Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Tagged as: micu rn; critical care rn; cicu rnRequirementsWHO WE'RE LOOKING FORCurrent New York State RN license in good standing 1-2 years of current/recent Critical Care, ICU, MICU, CICU, or IMCU nursing experience Current BLS Current ACLS strongly preferred Experience caring for high-acuity, medically complex patients Experience with cardiac monitoring, ventilated patients, and other critical-care interventions Strong clinical assessment, prioritization, and critical-thinking skills Ability to recognize and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity critical-care environmentCCRN certification preferred, but not requiredCRITICAL CARE EXPERIENCE MATTERSAn RN license and general bedside nursing experience alone are not enough for this position. Candidates should have current or recent ICU, MICU, CICU, IMCU, or other directly relevant high-acuity critical-care experience.
