Baycare is hiring: Health Information Management Coordinator in Tampa

Role Overview: Supports the daily operations of the Health Information Management (HIM) department by coordinating the work of HIM Specialists and ensuring timely processing of patient records. Monitors electronic work queues, assigns tasks, and assists with troubleshooting electronic medical record (EMR) equipment. Provides training and mentorship to new team members, monitors productivity and quality metrics, and reports Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) concerns to management. Assists with ensuring physician documentation compliance and timely release of health information. Performs all functions in the event of absence of Health Information Management Specialists. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred Associates, RHIT (Health Information)

Experience: 3 years of Health Information, preferred 1 year in a lead role
