Endoscopy/GI Lab Registered Nurse Opportunity Embark on a rewarding nursing opportunity in a dynamic and well-recognized healthcare environment, specializing in Endoscopy and GI Lab services. Professionals in this role collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care in a leading acute care setting. This contract position offers a variable shift schedule, including required call coverage, delivering both challenge and growth.
Schedule/Hours:
Variable shifts4 weeknight on-call duties and 3 weekend on-call rotations in a 6-week schedule
Qualifications:
- Active, unencumbered RN license
- Previous nursing experience in Endoscopy or GI Lab required
- Demonstrated ability to respond efficiently in urgent and complex cases
- Proficient in endoscopic procedures, pre-op and post-op patient assessments, and moderate sedation careBLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, technicians, and ancillary staff
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care throughout the peri-procedural period
- Monitor patients closely before, during, and after endoscopic procedures
- Administer and monitor sedation, anticipate patient and physician needs
- Manage documentation efficiently to ensure compliance and continuity of care
- Participate in on-call rotations, responding promptly to urgent procedural needs
- Advocate for patient safety, comfort, and privacy throughout care delivery
